- MadeInFrance, simple folding knives with a wooden handle and (on some models) simple locking-ring mechanism at the top to hold the blade in place. Various sizes. Sold by model numbers. Coghlan's sells a variety of the No 08 as a camping knife - I found it in the sporting goods -> camping section at McGuckin Hardware in sort of generic green card + plastic bubble packaging, for around $17 after tax. It was near the cookware & eating utensils, far from the knife case.
-
- The No 08 looks to be about 4.25" long when closed, and 7.5" when open. Not huge, but potentially within striking distance of the guy-becomes-creepy-by-having-too-large-a-knife phenomenon.
-
- I think you can get one of these online for $12-13.
