One way to use a wiki-like system would be as a temporary mechanism for collecting and organizing information while working on a given project or idea, refactoring to leave a residue of useful information once you're done. Marking a page as [[note to self]] could serve as notice that lists of content and thought-streams, no matter how messy, should not be destructively refactored until further notice, although constructive additions would be welcomed provided that they don't severely interfere with thought flow. (Severe interference with thought flow may often be desirable under other circumstances; it can be destructive to the kinds of projects people undertake on short notice.)

It may be that wiki lacks the proper attribution and editing control mechanisms to allow it to be gracefully used in this fashion. This qualifies as an [[ongoing thought experiment]].

Note that I'm really wondering [[what would be more suitable than wiki]] for this kind of use without going the full-blown [http://www.everything2.com/ everything2] route.

From [[Brennen]]'s standpoint, "note to self" is a desired prevailing aesthetic for a [[p1k3]] wiki. A repository for random stuff and a way to subsume urges which lead to rampant front-page weblogging.

May or may or may not conflict with the halfassed experimental nature of this whole thing.
