<[[Brennen]]> You know what's a bad idea? Web documents that are (visually) long and skinny, quote other web documents heavily across many pages, and ''use multiple levels of indentation to indicate quotation depth''. How are you supposed to keep track of who you're reading? Do other people just have more efficient / deeper quote-counters than me?
It seems like this is indicative of something that's basically wrong with a lot of blogs. Also, it highlights why usenet/e-mail style quotation (depth markers at the start of a line) is so damn useful (adaptive in the environment of textual selection?) even if it seems really cumbersome.
