<[[Brent]]> As far as I know, your interpretation of the power supply warning is correct. That said, I've always felt that the price of a new power supply is worth not fearing for my life as I poke around inside a power supply.

I keep running into situations like this where I'm vaguely aware of what not to do and that's about it. One of these years, it would be worthwhile to learn some hardware hacking skills. I used to play around with a soldering iron and take apart lots of radios when I was a kid - probably should've stuck with it.
