- <[[Brennen]]> It seems to me like the R letterform probably evolved directly from the P (or vice versa). My question is, was the lowercase r created with this in mind? Look at them together - "pr" - and it certainly seems possible, although in this case the graphical relationship almost seems reversed. The lowercase r being a truncated rather than extended form.

- Of course this is all speculation. I don't know the first thing about the evolution of the Latin alphabet, let alone RomanHalfUncial, CarolingianMinuscule, and the like.
