  14. Of these, mutt, Pine, and gmail are the clear winners. SquirrelMail deserves mention because it's easy to set up, very clean, and functional. Lotus Notes deserves to be singled out as a complete and utter dog - possibly the most frustrating application I have ever been forced to use regularly (discounting in-house Access-based data entry systems and the like).
