  6. | Hello Jerry thanks for joining us!!!
  7. | JD: A pleasure!
  8. | What are you filming tonight?
  9. | JD: I'm doing a guest starring shot on
  10. | "Renegade" a CBS show.
  11. | THanks for taking this break during filming.
  12. | Tell us ...
  13. | You were a stockbroker just five years ago...
  14. | HOW did you go from Wall Street to Tinsel
  15. | Town Ave. in just five years?
  16. | JD: I quit Wall Street in 1990...
  17. | I was bored not happy...despite being
  18. | wealthy...I wanted to get into
  19. | something exciting...I was either going
  20. | to buy a boat and head for the
  21. | islands OR decided to give acting a try.
  22. | I got very lucky fast in Hollywood!
  23. | Jerry, what did you think about the role on
  24. | the show when you first saw the script?
  25. | JD: I thought Garibaldi was a screwed-up ,
  26. | confused, funny character...
  27. | and I liked the fact that he had so many
  28. | problems...there would be so many ways to
  29. | play the character!
  30. | How much of the character is your
  31. | interpretation and how much did the producers
  32. | tell you to do?
  33. | JD: As an actor, you rea the script and the
  34. | words are a map to where the story
  35. | is going...you use your own "Spin" on the
  36. | character...
  37. | as the series progresses,the ...the
  38. | writers get to know you better...you know
  39. | them better...you start
  40. | working together to develop he character!
  41. | How old are you Jerry?
  42. | JD: 39 years old.
  43. | what were your media influences? TV,
  44. | music..etc???
  45. | JD: My favorite movies were "Sound of Music,"
  46. | "Animal House,"...
  47. | "Dark Shadows," "I Dream of Jeannie," ...
  48. | music--Eric Clapton, Elton John, Doobie
  49. | Brothers.
  50. | Since you hit stardom relatively quickly...
  51. | is it all that people think it is...or just a
  52. | really fun job?
  53. | JD: The job is a blast!...
  54. | when you break down what an actor does on
  55. | a given day....
  56. | they feed you, make-you-up, tell you what
  57. | to say...
  58. | there's 175 people involved with the
  59. | show...and you only see 10 of us...
  60. | it's the crew members that are as
  61. | important as the actors!
  62. | They stay and work on the show after we
  63. | have gone home!
  64. | ALL jobs are importnat on the set!
  65. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | JOE RUFFOLO GO AHEAD!!!!
  66. Joe Ruffolo | Jerry, You make the charecter look so easy.
  67. | When it it fall into place for you?
  68. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | JD: I fooled you all!!!!...
  69. | I think he's an easy character to play
  70. | because he's so screwed up...
  71. | we all have our own faults...and if you
  72. | try and deal with them as you
  73. | go through lie day to day--with a sense
  74. | of humore...
  75. Joe Ruffolo | Ahhh, Thank You!!
  76. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | JD: who knows? Maybe I was as screwed up as
  77. | the character and they needed me!
  78. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | Cynthia Hardesty...
  79. - Visitor | will you be apperaring at any east coast
  80. | science fiction conventions this fall and
  81. | what do you think of conventions.
  82. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | JD: Really East...England and Ireland...
  83. | conventions are GREAT!!!...
  84. | you get ideas, suggestions...it's great
  85. | to have such positive feedback...
  86. | from the audience at these conventions...
  87. - Visitor | What's the significance of ending the show
  88. | after five years. Why do that?
  89. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | JD: I will keep doing them!
  90. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | Sunil Karvel...are you ready with your
  91. | question? Please acknowledge!
  92. Sunil Karve | Hi Jerry. I want to know if you are as big a
  93. | fan of the Looney Tunes as
  94. | Garibaldi is. Any "Duck Dodgers" posters
  95. | hanging anywhere at home?
  96. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | JD: NO to the DUck Dodgers....I don't care

  104. | little twists and teases.

  127. | acting?
  128. | How do like the cast of Babylon 5?
  129. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | JD: BABYLON 5 is a drama that happens to be
  130. | in the science fiction genre...
  131. JASON | Thank you very much.
  132. Eliot Stein [WIZOP] | JD: so regardless of whether it is a western
  133. | or a courtroom drama...
  134. | what's important is the STORY!...
  135. | I don't view Babylon 5 as one type of
  136. | show. If somebody wants to pay me
  137. | $20 million I'll do any kind of acting!
  138. | We have a great cast...alot of fun...
