  120. I'd just like to say that Majel did a great job for us

  167. This Message, by Kevin Freels, was posted to the RASTB5

  170. If Dr. Suess had written for Babylon 5....
  171. (...Intro music starts up when
  172. we see the network of P-TEN...)
  173. We live here on Bab'lon 5
  174. to keep our last great hope alive.
  175. So far, it seems, since Season One,
  176. The war of Shadows has begun.
  177. So victory now is what we need
  178. if Bab'lon Five is to succeed!
  179. This Minbari, she's Delenn.
  180. She speaks in riddles now & then.
  181. She has a bone upon her head.
  182. She'd rather have some hair instead.
  183. Delenn:
  184. "Hi there! Ho there! My old friend!
  185. It's nice to see you once again.
  186. Come, let's talk of Councils Gray,
  187. And Crystal candles as we pray.
  188. I live here on Bab'lon Five
  189. To keep our last great hope alive."
  190. This is Delenn's friend, Lennier.
  191. You may ask, "Why is he here?
  192. He looks familiar! I know his face!
  193. He used to be on 'Lost in Space'!".
  194. Just like her, he's real verbose,
  195. And smells like fish-heads when you're up close.
  196. Londo:
  197. "I am Londo, tall and proud!
  198. (though some might say that I'm too loud!)
  199. I'm Centauri, so you see.
  200. My hair defies all gravity.
  201. We Centauri will someday rule.
  202. (Actually, we're just a tool.
  203. The Shadows really run the game.
  204. Alas! Such is the price of fame!)
  205. I like women, game, and drink.
  206. I drink and drink 'till I can't think!
  207. I live here on Bab'lon Five
  208. To keep my ego hopes alive.
  209. This is my assistant, Vir."
  210. Vir:
  211. "I would like--"
  212. Londo: "Get out of here!"
  213. This green lizard is G'Kar.
  214. He has come from very far.
  215. G'Kar:
  216. "I'm not a lizard! I'm a Narn!
  217. Time is crucial! I must warn!
  218. We're all in danger! Londo's nuts!
  219. His henchmen shadows kicked our butts!
  220. They've driven us down to our knees!
  221. Send lawyers, guns and money, please!
  222. Ion cannons! Ruby lasers!
  223. Even dusty Star Trek phasers!"
  224. This is Kosh. He gives me creeps!
  225. He barely speaks, just whirrrs & beeps.
  226. Kosh:
  227. *clakkity* *clakkity*!! *whirrr* *buzz* Beep!
  228. "You've always been here!" *ka-chunk* *gleep*!
  229. He always says that in fog-like scenes.
  230. I still don't know just what it means!
  231. He wears that suit to hide from us.
  232. Does he wear it on the bus?
  233. Garibaldi:
  234. "They're all guilty! Every one!
  235. I'll bust 'em up to have some fun!
  236. I'll bring in those bad beserkers,
  237. All those liars, thieves and lurkers."
  238. He's my Chief Security.
  239. Testosterone flows in him free.
  240. He's pretty edgy. I know why.
  241. Since Mars was home, well, he's been dry.
  242. He's really hyper, so I think.
  243. But imagine if he had a drink!
  244. This is Susan--
  245. Ivanova:
  246. "As you were!
  247. I'm Ivanova! And call me 'Sir'!
  248. I'm delicate, on one small side,
  249. But touch me and I'll tan your hide!
  250. And though to you I might appeal,
  251. I once faked sex to clinch a deal.
  252. So stand your post and keep your ground,
  253. Or, I promise, you I'll pound."
  254. Meet the Doctor. He stays up late,
  255. And works for forty hours straight!
  256. Dr. Franklin:
  257. "I heal aliens, those are my jobs.
  258. Humans and Martians, Reptiles and Blobs!
  259. Wozzles and Snangles and Bug-eyed Kertunkers!
  260. Yellow-faced insects with Red-winged Dondunkers!
  261. Centauri! Membari! Vorlons and Narn!
  262. I'd even help creatures made out of yarn!
  263. So I will stay living on Bab'lon Five
  264. To keep all these strange little creatures alive!"
  265. Talia's a telepath.
  266. She once followed in our path.
  267. But a time-bomb in her mind
  268. Has made her evil and unkind.
  269. It's doubtful she can be our friend.
  270. Our trust in her is at an end.
  271. The Psi-corp has a man named Bester.
  272. He could be labled "Mind Molester".
  273. He's evil, mean, and nasty, too!
  274. He can read the thoughts of you.
  275. We must give him credit, tho.
  276. He drove a starship years ago.
  277. Bester:
  278. "I've known your kind and what to do.
  279. So I'll be back. Be seeing you."
  280. This man Morden, standing here.
  281. He is one that you should fear.
  282. He has shadows for his brothers.
  283. He doesn't play so well with others.
  284. ---
  285. So that's my story. It's lonely here.
  286. We're so far out, there is no beer.
  287. I'm stuck out here on Bab'lon Five
  288. To keep our last great hope alive.
  289. I'm stuck out here, it's just not fair!
  290. It's all the fault of that Sinclair!
  291. He bailed out, I took the fall,
  292. And now he won't return my call!
  293. But...
  294. It could be worse, it's just five years.
  295. Or I could have Ferengi ears.
  296. And when all is said and done,
  297. I'm not Harlan Ellison!

  411. Once again you make broad statements: "none of the cast
  412. members have done the talk show circuit." Not correct.
  413. Bruce has done the Stephanie Miller show, showed up on the
  414. Tonight Show, the Mike and Maddie show (same there for Jerry

  416. morning shows, such as the the FX cable network show),

  950. 1. I am very interested in the military in B5, what
  951. they are doing?
  952. All kinds of things. Some good, some not so.
  953. Does the Earth Alliance military simply follow the
  954. President, or does the Admiralty have its own mind?
  955. Any military must respect the chain of command. You can't have the
  956. military setting its own agenda. The president proposes, the military
  957. disposes.
  958. Will the EA do anything that the Senators and President
  959. says?
  960. Well, the EA military must obey the President as Commander in Chief.
  961. The EA government is always quibbling. They're like that.
  962. What does the EA military feel about the loss of its
  963. telepaths?
  964. The EA military hasn't lost any telepaths that I know of. Don't know
  965. what this refers to.
  966. What does the EA military think about the station B5?
  967. "Cushy job. And they're a bunch of loose cannons over there. Maybe

  969. You basically said the Manbire military is under the

  971. the earth military the same way?
  972. No, I never said that, and the Minbari are NOT under Shadow control.
  973. My next question is on getting your show on military
  974. T.V. The network is called AFARTS, Armed Forces
  975. A(something) Radio and Television something something.
  976. Anyway, AFARTS does not show commercials. After not
  977. seeing stateside commercials for over 5 years, you

  982. I was wondering if you were even willing to enterin the

  985. O.K., but it is a sailors right to complain) to talk to

1084. The next two are somewhat more straightforward, stand-alones
1085. (to some extent; there's some arc stuff there, however, which becomes
1086. more important later). Then the last two in this batch represent some
1087. of the best work we've ever done, "Messages From Earth" and "Point of
1088. No Return." They follow directly on the footsteps of "Voices," so
1089. those three together would be great for new viewers.
1090. Second, today is Michael O'Hare's first day of shooting here on
1091. the B5 stages for the two-parter, featuring his return to the station
1092. from Minbar, and propels him into the center of attention for most of

1254. and b) fit in with the storyline one way or another. When the book is

1418. anyone can do about it at this end; only local pressure can make an

1436. > suppy of Post-it notes? Or are all the details of the B5 universe

1438. As I make the changes, in large measure I just keep it all in my
1439. head, though a few things get written down and put on post-it notes
  1440. around my home office monitor. It's like a number-cruncher program;
1441. you make one change, hit return, and it incorporates all the
1442. permutations of that change down the line. That's kind of what I do in
1443. my head. I change one item, let the ramifications ripple through it
1444. all, and now it's all there. By doing this every time I make a slight
1445. modification, it lets me see what impact it may have down the line, so
1446. I can avoid making any changes that seriously conflict with the larger
  1447. storyline. It's a headache -- figuratively and literally -- but the
1448. effort of doing so keeps me on track.
1449. After that, it's mainly a process of remembering what happened; I
1450. treat this as the history of the Babylon station. This is what
1451. "happened" in the universe I created in my head.
1452. Problem is, this occupies all the available RAM my brain seems to
1453. contain. I have zip memory for anything else that I can consider even
1454. remotely expendable, like appointments, remembering to pick up dry
  1455. cleaning, bringing a magazine to a friend's house who'd requested a
1456. copy of something, on and on. If it ain't involved with B5, it just

1529. end credits altogether. So it's best to have them in the beginning.

1562. "57th out of 75 shows." Just to correct you: that figure is from
1563. the Christmas period rerun, which was low for everybody, and second,
1564. it's not out of 75 shows, that's usually just the top batch they list,
1565. it's 57th that week out of 275 syndicated shows. Usually we do in the
1566. 40s out of 275, which puts us in the top 20% of all syndicated shows.

1618. You can't do that; you can only have the title card once, because
1619. SAG, DGA, WGA and other unions have rules that regulate where their
1620. workers appear in relation to the title of the episode. If you have it
1621. twice, you mess that up.
