<p>The pilot movie (<a href="guide/000.html">"The Gathering"</a>)and the first four seasons of B5 originallyaired in syndication on a variety of TV stations across the United States.The fifth season aired on cable channel TNT, which also commissioned fourmovies-of-the-week and aired the spinoff series,<a href="guide/113.html">"Crusade."</a>The spinoff was cancelled after JMS refused to let TNT executives interfere withthe characters and storyline.
<p>Later, the Sci-Fi Channel rebroadcast the entire series in widescreen formatand commissioned an fifth movie-of-the-week.
